Its narrow streets are adorned with colorful facades, and it hosts cultural events, including the annual Pride celebrations, making it a hub of inclusivity and excitement. Start the tour by meeting your local gay guide at Plaza Chueca where you'll learn a bit of the neighborhood's history. Then you'll walk a short distance to the first tapas bar for a drink and a bite.

Enjoy a drink and a tapa at this second, smaller local bar on Calle Pelayo, a street with several bars, restaurants, and shops. The street is also known for the infamous High Heel Race during Madrid's annual Gay Pride.
