Go beyond the ordinary. Most visitors rush through Neuschwanstein, missing its hidden stories. This tour is different.
With my doctorate in mythology, discover the medieval sagas painted on the castle walls. With my 32 years as a master storyteller, hear Ludwig’s tale in a way that moves you. As a trained opera singer, learn from me how Wagner’s music shaped the castle’s magic.
Other tours herd fifty people onto a bus. With my tour, your group is the only one along—a fully private experience. With my attention to detail, everything is customized for you. Just relax and enjoy.
Other private tours rely on heavy SUVs to drive to the castle, adding to environmental strain in the region. This tour glides through the Bavarian countryside in a First-Class train—combining luxury with sustainability.
Unlike standard tours, this is an immersive journey. Come with me, and experience the mystery of Neuschwanstein’s untold stories.

We begin our day here as we board the First Class Compartment of a state of the art German train. As we roll in comfort through resplendent Bavarian countryside, the Alps grow higher and higher on the horizon. During our time on the train, Thomas the tour guide will share with you the poignant story of King Ludwig, the builder of the castle, and the role the castle plays as a work of art, as a storybook, and as an alternative version of how life could be. Expect to be moved by the powerful storytelling of Thomas as he takes you on a journey through the medieval legends told in each room of the castle.
We arrive at the Füssen train station and meet the taxi waiting for us. In less than ten minutes, we are whisked through the small town of Füssen.
Hohenschwangau is a Bavarian village at the foot of the mountain, Tegelberg. On the side of this mountain, towering majestically over the village, is the castle of Neuschwanstein. We explore this village, taking in the site of the other castle in the village, strolling by the alpine lake, the Alpsee, and enjoying a brief lunch break.
