At 7:00 AM, your Lake Titicaca adventure begins with a hotel pickup in Puno. Board a motorized boat for a 25-minute journey to the Uros Islands, where you'll be greeted warmly by locals and introduced to their ancient customs.
Learn about the Uru people's traditions, dating back to the Pre Inca Empire, as you explore their reed islands with the island's leader. Opt for a short ride on a traditional reed boat to the main island, then browse the small market or simply soak in the views.
Next, embark on a 2.5-hour boat ride to Taquile Island, enjoying panoramic views of Lake Titicaca along the way. Upon arrival, hike to the main plaza for stunning vistas and insights into local bird species.
After lunch overlooking the lake, depart at 2:30 PM for the return journey to Puno.
