Our Favourites

Milan, renowned for its design, fashion, and nightlife, also boasts rich cultural and historical heritage. At the heart of the city, near Piazza del Duomo, lies the world-famous Teatro alla Scala. Built in 1778, this iconic theater was commissioned by Empress Maria Theresa of Austria and designed by architect Giuseppe Piermarini. It quickly became a symbol of classical music and culture, hosting influential figures and nobility. Despite wartime damage, the theater was restored to its former glory, and, in the early 2000s, a modern extension by Swiss architect Mario Botta was added. Today, it houses both the historic theater and the Museo Teatrale Alla Scala
