Sagano Sightseeing Train: A nostalgic railway through the valley scenery The Sagano Sightseeing Train (Arashiyama Train) is a sightseeing route that winds along the Hozu River Valley. It uses a retro-style carriage design and runs at a slow speed, allowing passengers enough time to enjoy the scenery along the way. The train departs from Saga Arashiyama Station and travels to Kameoka Station, passing through pristine forests, valleys, iron bridges and tunnels along the way, showing the most natural and pure side of Kyoto's suburbs

Rafting on the Hozu River: A dialogue between traditional wooden boats and nature After the railway journey, we will switch to a traditional Hozu River driftwood boat, paddled by a skilled boatman, and sail down the river from Kameoka to Arashiyama. This section of the river is about 16 kilometers long, passing through strange cliffs, clear streams and green valleys along the way.

This tour provides transportation from Kyoto or Osaka, eliminating the hassle of planning your own transportation. You can freely choose whether to experience Hozugawa rafting, and the itinerary is highly flexible! There is also free time in the itinerary, so that passengers can freely explore the Arashiyama area, such as strolling through the famous bamboo forest, visiting Tenryuji Temple, and tasting authentic Kyoto desserts and Japanese confectionery!

Notes on train/cruise boat

• If the train ticket cannot be provided, a refund of 880 yen per person will be made through the platform.
• Guests who choose the package that does not include the Hozugawa Cruise can also purchase tickets on the day, but please note that you may not be able to board the boat due to weather or other factors (e.g. the number of people has reached the limit)
• The Hozu River Cruise may be suspended due to weather or other factors, but the rest of the day's itinerary will proceed as normal. If the boat is stopped, the ticket fee will be partially refunded by the platform after the trip (not the official price of the facility). Please understand.
• If you choose not to take part in the Hozugawa cruise, you will need to wait for the cruise passengers to board before the bus goes to Arashiyama
• Seats on the Sagano Sightseeing Train cannot be assigned

Clothing and things to bring

• Each guest may bring one suitcase (maximum size). Baggage may need to be checked into the baggage hold, or it may be carried on to your seat. Please carry your valuables with you. The operator will not be responsible if they are lost.
• Due to seasonal and weather changes, the temperature may vary. Please prepare for cold or heatstroke.

Notes

• The tour will mainly be in Chinese. We will try our best to arrange the corresponding staff according to your language preference.
• Depending on the number of people, we may use a minibus, etc. and the driver may also serve as a tour guide
• Seats are not assigned. If you have any requests, please inform the tour guide on the day.
• Sorry, there is no toilet on the bus.
• Meals are not included, please prepare them before departure

Participation Restrictions

• Failure to arrive at the meeting time will be deemed as a no-show and no refund will be given. Please be sure to confirm the meeting point in advance and arrive on time
• The tour is accompanied by a tour guide, but no professional explanation is provided
• Each adult can bring one child aged 0 to 2 years old for free, but without a seat. If you need a seat, please register at the child fare
• Children under 3 years old must be over 80cm tall to experience the Hozugawa Rafting Cruise. Please note this in your order.

OTHER MATTERS

• Due to traffic/weather conditions and other factors, the time spent at attractions may be shortened and the order of some itineraries may be adjusted. Please forgive me
• If you are unable to connect to public transportation due to delayed arrival, the relevant taxi fares and other transportation costs and accommodation expenses will be borne by the guest
• If the tour is cancelled due to special circumstances, the operator will contact you by phone or email. If you do not receive any contact, it means the trip will proceed as planned.
• If you are late or unable to join the tour due to delays in your own transportation, 100% of the fee will be charged
