(Duration: about 1 hour and 30 minutes) Schedule: (1) Kendo experience (60 minutes) How to bow (Shinto, Buddhist, Confucian teaching and manners of bowing) How to hold a shinai (bamboo sword and its symbolism) How to hold a sword: sword stance (upper, middle, lower, side stance, eight-phase stance) The practice of Kendo (footwork, swinging, striking on the face, striking on the hands, and striking on the body) The practice of Men-Uchi(strokes in the center) (2) Watching Kendo (15 minutes) ・Japanese Kendo Kata showcase (7 Tachi, 3 Kotachi) ・Try on Kendo (3) Commemorative photo and viewing of protective gear (15 minutes) Experience the feeling of being a samurai by wearing an elaborately designed Sashiko top and hakama bottom and striking (or cutting) an opponent with a shinai sword.
