Hidden History Hollywood Sign Tour

This tour starts at the Innsdale Trailhead and meanders up past the best Hollywood Sign viewpoint and further up to the summit of Mt. Lee and the 365-degree view the entire Los Angeles region from the mountains to the sea. This is the most popular hike to the sign because it is the shortest, easiest, and fastest way to get close to this LA icon. For this reason, it’s also the busiest and least wild of all our Griffith Park tours. Because the trail moves between quiet neighborhood streets and the the wilder urban parks of Griffith Park and Lake Hollywood Park, this tour is a great opportunity to contrast how non-native plants and native plants fare in these highly populated areas and what if any effect restoration is having.
