Hermits Rest Hike and Guided Tour
Go where few will wander; down the trail and away from crowds. Get your "backstage pass" to Hermits Rest, with fewer crowds and limited access for the general public. This is a fully narrated adventure featuring Yavapai Point, historic Grand Canyon Village and a hike at Hermits Rest.
Your first stop will be Yavapai Point, which offers the largest geological exposure of rock layers. The rim to river views are spectacular, as are views of Phantom Ranch, South Kaibab and Bright Angel Trails. El Tovar, Hopi House, and the historic Grand Canyon Village are the next stop.
Our expert guides will take guests down below the rim to view authentic fossil beds along the way. On your hike, you’ll be able to view the Hermit Rapids from the rim as well as landmarks in the canyon, including the former Hermit Camp.
