The Artwork "Genki Ro" was made by contemporary artist Takashi Kuribayashi. A large kiln is used to boil water with medicinal herbs, and the steam is sent through pipes to the artwork. Visitors can enter the work and drink fresh medicinal herb tea and absorb the herbal steam through their pores and lungs, and it is said that entering the work will truly improve one's health.

Oya History Museum

Oya temple

"Oya Magaibutsu", a stone Buddha carved into a natural rock wall, at Oya Temple located in a cave. Doubly designated as a national special historic site and an important cultural property, it symbolizes the historical culture of the city as one of the cultural properties that comprise the "Oya Stone Culture," which is recognized as a Japanese Heritage Site. Upon entering the Kannondo Hall, visitors will see the statue of the thousand-armed Kannon, the temple's principal deity and known as the "Oya Kannon".

Let's explore the living quarry where Oyaishi is still quarried and produced in the spectacular landscape! *Pizza making and zipline experience can be reserved as an option. Please indicate your preference in the remarks column when making a reservation.
