We will head to the city of Dinant in a fast and comfortable train. Thanks to this means of transport, we will enjoy the rocky landscape and the little villages along the Meuse River. Authentic postcards to discover!
Upon arrival in Dinant, we will start our walking tour and we will discover the main monuments of the city. We also enter the interior of its impressive fortress from where we will have the most beautiful panoramic views of Belgium.
After finishing the visit of the Dinant fortress, we will have free time to have lunch and try the local food. We will take a train again and, in just 20 minutes, we will be in Namur, the capital of Wallonia. We will take a tour of its historic center and go up in a funicular to its Citadel, better known as "one of the largest in Europe".
At the end of the visit to Namur, you will have an hour for free time and then we will meet our guide again, to return to Brussels around 7:00 p.m.
Our guided tour of Dinant will begin at the Charles de Gaulle Bridge, where huge saxophones stand. And it is that this instrument was created by the famous Adolphe Sax, who was born precisely here. In his honour, Dinant organizes an international jazz competition every November.
We will visit the picturesque historic center of Dinant, with the Collegiate Church of Our Lady, in Mosan Gothic style. Its bulbous bell tower from the 16th century is very characteristic, contrasting with the rocky slopes located just behind. Inside, there are several pictorial works by Antoine Wiertz.
Located in a strategic place, it not only served as a refuge: it also protected the city. Its architecture reflects the passage of illustrious armies. Do not forget to take an unforgettable photo of your trip! To conclude the first part of the trip,
