Marina de Albufeira West Beacon
We begin our journey by heading south and away from the Marina, gently ascending the hill as we make our way towards the stunning coastline. Our first destination is Ponta da Baleeira, a significant navigational landmark situated on a dramatic headland. From this elevated vantage point, you'll be treated to panoramic views of the Albufeira Marina, with its bustling harbour filled with boats and yachts. The vista also includes the expansive main beach of Albufeira, known for its golden sands and vibrant atmosphere, as well as the charming town itself. As you take in the breathtaking scenery, you’ll also see the distant silhouette of Vilamoura, renowned for its luxurious resorts and golf courses. Ponta da Baleeira not only offers spectacular views but also a rich historical context, making it a perfect starting point for our exploration. Here, you can capture memorable photographs and appreciate the natural beauty and maritime significance of this unique location.
Lagoa dos Salgados
From here, we will traverse and enjoy the scenic coastal road toward the beaches of Arrifes and São Rafael, before continuing our journey to Salgados via the quiet lanes.
Armacao de Pera
Leaving Salgados, our next destination is the charming town of Armação de Pêra. Here, we will take a short break to relax and enjoy coffee at a local café, providing the perfect opportunity to soak in the local atmosphere and capture some photos.
