Haedong Yonggungsa

Perched on the rocky coastline of Busan, Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is a rare and picturesque Buddhist temple that offers stunning ocean views. Founded in 1376 during the Goryeo Dynasty, the temple is unique in its coastal setting, as most Korean temples are typically located in the mountains. As you approach the temple, you'll pass through a row of stone statues known as the Twelve Zodiac Guardians before reaching the main temple grounds. The temple complex is made up of several beautiful structures, including the main sanctuary, Daeungjeon Hall, and a 3 story pagoda. Each building features vibrant colors and intricate carvings, adding to the temple's overall charm. The train features comfortable seats and large windows, ensuring an enjoyable and picturesque journey. Busan Gamcheon Culture Village

Often referred to as the "Machu Picchu of Busan" or "Santorini of Korea," Gamcheon Culture Village is a vibrant, hillside neighborhood in Busan known for its brightly colored houses and steep, winding alleyways. Originally a shantytown for Korean War refugees, the area has been transformed into a cultural hub featuring numerous art installations, murals, and galleries. Visitors can wander through the maze-like streets, taking in the stunning views of the city and harbor, while discovering whimsical artwork and sculptures along the way. There are also many charming cafes, craft shops, and local food vendors, allowing visitors to sample regional specialties. 30 minutes for driving time.

Additional Information

It is important that you give us your pick up location as soon as possible. If we do not have your pick-up location 24 hours before your tour, we will cancel the tour. We will send you a reminder message 3 days before your tour. We will give you your assigned guide's info at that time along with instructions on meeting your guide in your hotel lobby or outside your building if staying in an Airbnb. Pick-up time is at 9:30 am and you will depart immediately. Your 9.5-hour day starts at 9:30 am whether you are ready to go or not. If you are not ready to go and we cannot get a hold of you, your guide will wait 30 minutes until 10:00 am. If you don't show up or contact us before 10:00 am, it will be a "no show" and no refund will be given.
