During your time in Panama, learn a bit about the indigenous Emberá people on this overnight trip from Panama City to a village in the rain forest, which you'll reach by motorized canoe. You will be welcomed and immersed into the local culture as you interact with members of the Emberá community, enjoy traditional music and dancing, and have an opportunity to purchase their beautiful handmade crafts. You spend the night in an open air Embera hut and enjoy authentic Embera meals.
Pickup included
Our bilingual guide will pick you up at your hotel in Panama City and accompany your during the entire tour before returning you to your hotel in the afternoon.
On the drive to the boat ramp, you will view local vegetation, stop at a local fruit stand. During the boat ride to the village we will pass through virgin tropical rain forest; seeing birds such as herons, egrets, osprey, possibly toucans and wild parrots, as well as turtles, maybe a caiman and if you are lucky a sloth, otter or monkeys from the boat. Upon arrival to the village you will be introduced to the the Embera history, culture, traditions and crafts while touring the village. You will spend the night in an authentic Embera, open air hut.Lunch, dinner and breakfast are included.

We pick up at any hotel, house, AirBNB or cruise ship port within Panama City. Outlying areas such as Playa Bonita and Tocumen have a $50 surcharge. Special arrangements at an additional charge can be made for pick up at the Colon port.
