Itinerary

Forum of Augustus

Following we will visit the complex of the Imperial Forums. All the 5 Forums: Forum of Caesar, Forum of Augustus, Forum Pace, Forum of Nerva and the Forum of Trajan. Along the way we will see in detail the ruins, understand how they were constructed and why, and talk about many other subjects, like basilicas, porticos, Trajan's Market, the Column of Trajan and museums around Rome. After that we will follow to the Capitoline Hill. The offer here does not include going inside the monument or tickets for that.

Foro Romano

On the Capitoline Hill, we will have a vantage point to see in detail the Roman Forum, all the amazing monuments like temples, the Senate House and basilicas, and how all that developed throughout centuries. We will see its relationship with the Palatine and the Capitoline hills. And how the city still shows all the marvelous monuments of Ancient Rome ! At this point we will also visit the Capitoline Hill, the square, buildings and sculptures designed by Michelangelo, and I will talk about the Capitoline Museums and the sculptures we see on the square today.

Teatro di Marcello

Our final point will the second theater constructed in Rome, the Theater of Marcellus. We will see how, when and why it was constructed. The curious relationship it has with the Colosseum and how it was used during the Roman times, later and still is used today. Here, we will also see the Temple of Apollo and the Porticus of Octavia, where we finish and I where I will give some final tips about the area, the Jewish Ghetto.
