You will be encouraged to participate in sailing if you wish to and even take the helm of our large yachts under the guidance and supervision of our professionals. We will anchor in secluded bays at a minimum disturbance. Take your time and relax, just make sure that you grab a mask and dive in the crystal clear water. Our organic, local fresh lunch served on board has been one more reason why our guests continue talking about our tours over and over again.

What's included in Dia island : Small Group Sailing Trip to Dia Island with Lunch
(Subject to Option Inclusions)Our crew will meet at the Old Venetian port and welcome you on board, where you will be given a briefing about safety and boat handling. We set our sails and we are off to our destination,the beautiful Dia island. Dia is an uninhabited island, 7 nautical miles north of Heraklion and is protected by the Natura 2000 project because of its biodiversity. Our trip there lasts almost one hour. We set anchor on either Agios Georgios or Panagia bay (depending on the weather conditions), which are located on the south part of the island. Both coves are known for their green, crystal waters surrounded by the protected wildlife, like the medium sized “Falco Eleonorae” the lizard Podarcis erchardii schiebeli, the wild goat Capra Aegagrus Cretica and the monkseal Monachus monachus. For about one hour and a half, you will enjoy these beautiful water with swimming, snorkeling or sunbathing! Cool refreshments and seasonal fruit will accompany the fun! After your lunch and perhaps after a quick dive, we will set our sails back to Heraklion port. Have your cameras ready in case we spot some of our lovely mammal friends, the dolphins.

Additional Information
Kindly note that booking price includes pickups at a range of 10 km from the port. Your taxi/minivan/minibus will wait for you outside your hotel main entrance. Transfers further than 10km from Heraklion are available upon extra cost, minimum 20€.
Meeting / End Points
- We meet at the "Marina cafe" 30 minutes before the tour starts. The crew members are wearing ALTERSAIL t-shirts. ** Please note that the trip start time may change, we will inform you in advance, but the duration will not be affected.
