That of the truffle hunter, is a hard work made of deep love for the land, intelligent observation, waiting and great satisfaction. We will take advantage of his wise guide, assisted by an incomparable four-legged scout, to learn the secrets of this noble tuber, through a naturalistic path of great beauty. At the end of the experience, lunch with a food and wine tasting in the woods. After lunch, we will reach Montefalco, the balcony of Umbria, for an interesting guided visit of this wonderful ancient village. The village, which develops in a halo of suggestive cobbled alleys all around the wonderful central square, boasts numerous points of great interest: the city walls, Torre del Verziere, Church of Sant’Agostino, Piazza del Comune, Church of Santa Chiara and the magnificent museum complex of San Francesco, built by the Friars Minor between 1335 and 1338. It houses spectacular frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli depicting episodes from the life of St. Francis, and numerous other works of great beauty and inestimable value.
