Having travelled out of London and through countryside of Kent, the first stop will be the historic city of Canterbury, known especially for its Cathedral, which is the most senior church of England and dates back to the year 597ad. Take time to visit the Cathedral and explore the city centre.
Next we'll visit the pretty seaside town of Deal. It was here that the first Roman invasion landed in Britain in 55bc. A previously prosperous port, today Deal is regarded as a 'mini-Brighton', known for its charming high street, sea-front and pier. Take time to explore and have lunch.
The next stop is at the world-famous White Cliffs of Dover, one of the most iconic coastal location in Britain. This is England's closest point to mainland Europe, on a clear day you can see France! Here we have time to take a long walk along the coast path and absorb spectacular views.
