The tour begins with a welcome from the hosts, who will take you on an illustrative walk around the farm. You will meet and learn about many animal species besides the Sardinian sheep: llamas, alpacas, peacocks and many varieties of birds from all over the world. The second stop is the cheese factory attached to the farm, where the magic happens: the transformation of milk into cheese. This is where the heart of the experience takes place: the workshop for making Sardinian pecorino. After an introductory briefing on the techniques used, the shepherd will give a demonstration of the essential steps in this practice. Each participant will be able to actively participate, discovering and learning the differences between fresh and mature cheese.
