What's included in Belgrade and Avala Mountain Full Day Layover Tour with Round-Trip Airport Transfer

(Subject to Option Inclusions)

This tour is created so you can experience the city and nature in one. You will visit all of the important historical spots in Belgrade, but will also visit Avala Mountain, must-see attraction just outside of city.

Your guide will wait for you at the airport. The drive will take approx. half an hour to your first stop – Belgrade fortress. This is a great place for an introduction to Serbian history and its heritage. Born at the confluence of two rivers, the Sava and Danube, Belgrade hides many stories which will be revealed to you during this tour. Continuing your walk you will pass through Kalemegdan Park, the most visited park in the city.

Next to the park is main pedestrian zone and Republic Square. If you want to feel like a local, we suggest you take a break and try domestic coffee in the oldest restaurant in the city, “?”. If you are hungry, we suggest you try some of the local specialties as well. After a break, you continue through the Prince Michael Street, the main shopping street with many boutiques and souvenir shops. You will pass next to the Republic Square where a monument dedicated to liberator of Serbia proudly stands.

Driving through one of the main streets where many governmental institutions are located, you will reach the fifth biggest Orthodox Church in the world, the Temple of St. Sava. While learning about medieval history, you will understand the significance of this church to the Serbian people.

And now, just a half an hour drive away is your next destination, Avala Mountain. Belgraders like to escape here, especially during weekend. Be prepared to climb a little bit, because we need to pass “a few” stairs before reaching the monument. But, you won’t regret it! Avala Tower is your next stop. On the top of the tower you can enjoy a drink, while admiring an outstanding view of Belgrade and Serbia.

On your way back, you will visit Zemun, an old and beautiful part of the city. This area is known for its narrow cobblestone streets, and houses from 18 and 19th century.

You will be taken to the airport (or hotel) just in time for your next flight.

Note: During the tour, additional break can be added for refreshment or lunch, according to your needs.
