Lipari is the "capital", the largest island, offices, hydrofoils, traffic, but also unspoiled views, bays, stacks. It is the whitest beach, that of pumice, which touches the turquoise, opalescent water. The ancient flows cover an entire side of the island, the training ground for some daredevils who run down and plunge directly into the sea.
