Spend your morning or afternoon visiting Angkor National Museum which is an archaeological museum dedicated to the collection, preservation, and presentation of Angkorian artifacts, also to provide information and education about art and culture of Khmer civilization, with collections mainly dated from Khmer Empire's Angkor period circa 9th to 14th-century. Most of the artifacts were discovered in and around the Angkor archaeological sites nearby. The museum exhibits are arranged flowing single direction through themed galleries. The Briefing Hall: The Museum Overture Before marveling over the awe-inspiring galleries at the Angkor National Museum, visitors are invited the orientation which will introduce the museum and its amenities. Show scheduled for every 15 minutes and are available in 7 languages; Khmer, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, English, French and Thai.  Exclusive Gallery: A Gallery of Cambodia Buddhism Reflection The religion of Buddhism is spiritually linked from the ancient Khmer civilization to the present-day Cambodia. Gallery A: "The Origin of Khmer Empires Story" One of the mysteries is how the Khmer Empire was established. Learn what drove the ancient Khmer civilization to create one of the world’s most colossal structures ever.  Gallery B: The reflection of Khmer's beliefs Explains about religion and beliefs of Khmer civilization, including literary works, sculptures, architecture and daily life. Gallery C: The Great Inventors History shows that there were four particularly notable Khmer kings who made the Khmer Empire one of the world's greatest civilizations. Let the historical pride come alive through time and the stories of the four great inventors unfold. Gallery D: Angkor Wat  The gallery displays the history, spiritual concept and architectural technique of constructing the grand structure of Angkor Wat. It also explains the Angkor Wat's equinox phenomenon. Gallery E: Angkor Thom Explore Angkor Thom, the great capital, an architectural masterpiece of sophisticated technology combined with precious artwork created over many generations. Gallery F: Story from Stone "The Evidence of the Past" The gallery displays stone inscriptions found throughout Angkor that recorded important historical event. Gallery G: Ancient Costume "The Fascination of Apsara" Another spectacular example of art is the ancient Khmer clothing illustrated by sculptures of gods, goddesses, and the celestial dancers, or Apsara.
