Woke up early to catch a glimpse of Cotopaxi volcano from the rooftop of my grandparents’ home before the usual daytime clouds shrouded it. They say one of the defining characteristics of ecuadorians is their ability to conduct their lives unfazed under the shadow of active volcanos, like this one.
