  • Yokoyama Observatory is an observation deck located on Yokoyama, 203 meters above sea level, in the southern part of the peninsula in Mie Prefecture.
    From the observation deck, you can see Ago Bay, which is made up of 60 islands of all sizes, and its vivid scenery is featured in the Michelin Green Guide Japan. Shima City's Ago Bay is rich in the bounty of the sea, and is home to the seafood that is Shima City's signature product, pearls and green laver.
    The observation deck was renovated in August 2018, and a promenade was installed, and the Yokoyama Sky Cafe Terrace "Mirador Shima" was also opened. On the wooden deck terrace, you can enjoy the magnificent natural scenery while savoring an original menu using ingredients from Ise-Shima.
