The Wieliczka Salt Mine dates back to medieval times and has a history of around 9 centuries of salt exploitation.

  • No animals are allowed in the mine. The mine does not offer any animal shelters of its own for your pets
  • Baggage can be left at the luggage office located close to the tourist information center
  • Pick up and drop off is only at the designated meeting point (64 Grodzka street)
  • Baby carriages and luggage larger then 30 x 20 x 10cm are not permitted inside the museum
  • The lift is used only at the end of the tourist route to get transported back to the surface.
