West Seattle Tour: A world away and a state of mind!

West Seattle is the spit of land you can see when gazing west from downtown Seattle and Pike Place Market. It’s hard to imagine, but west Seattle has beaches and lovely little shops along the waterfront with views of Bainbridge Island and the Olympic Mountains. Home to the best record store in the city where Pearl Jam once played and one of the last stands of old growth trees in Seattle, West Seattle is a world unto itself. The city skyline view is iconic from "the west side", perfect for photos to make your friends back home wish they were with us! These are the places I bring my friends and family when they visit. With a max of 3 people, this is a very personal "best of Seattle" tour that explores a part of the city that most visitors never see. Come explore with a 30 year local! For a private version of this tour (1 to 4 people) please call/text

Itinerary

West Seattle Junction

The heart of West Seattle's urban side, we will visit fantastic local shops, stop for coffee and cupcakes, then visit the best record store in the city where Pearl Jam once played (some members still live in West Seattle!).

Lincoln Park

We will visit a fantastic driftwood-strewn beach and learn about wildlife.

Schmitz Park

This park is relatively unknown even to many residents, and holds one of only 2 stands of old growth trees left in Seattle. It's stunning! The trail is a little primitive, and often muddy, but worth the short trek to see giant mossy trees!
