Built on the old Alcázar de los Omeyas, stands the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos. It witnessed the First Castilian Civil War, the meeting between Christopher Columbus and the Catholic Monarchs, and the headquarters of the Holy Inquisition for three centuries.
