Welcome to Tromsø! My name is Mirko, and since 2018 I’ve had the chance to do the most beautiful job in the world: welcome Arctic explorers like you, and accompany you to discover my city, the breathtaking landscapes that surround it, and the Northern Lights dancing in the sky.
In the summer of 2025, I launched my own activity: my goal is to offer you an authentic and unforgettable experience, sharing with you all my passion for the Arctic — for its rich and surprising history, its vibrant culture, its wilderness, the silent twilight of polar night and the warm hues of the midnight sun.
This outing is for the curious, those who like to discover, ask questions and take full eyes. My minibus is equipped with an internal microphone, so I can easily share everything I know about the area on the way.

Kvaloya
On this tour you will cross Kvaløya, “the Island of Whales”, a territory of fjords, mountains, valleys and lakes, which offers some of the most spectacular panoramas in the region. In summer, I suggest this evening outing, when the warm and soft light of the midnight sun transforms the landscape by enveloping it in long shadows and golden hues; in winter, on the other hand, you will enjoy the rare hours of light, this moment called “blue hour”, when everything takes on magical shades of dusk. Along the way, you will make several stops to admire the most beautiful views, and I will tell you a lot about life here: Tromsø, climate, midnight sun, polar night, Sami culture and much more. Do not hesitate to ask me all your questions!
Sommaroy
Once you reach Sommarøy, “Summer Island”, you will take a short tour of the village and take a break on one of its beautiful white sandy beaches.
