It's a walk through the highlights of the collection for first time visitors, or those who need a fresh insight since their last visit to Paris. We meet outside by the statue of Louis XIV near the Pyramid.

We will visit the Sully & Denon wings (The Renaissance Louvre Palace, Rome, Greece, Venus de Milo, Botticelli, Veronese, Mona Lisa, Titian, David, Géricault, Delacroix, Michelangelo, Canova). The artworks of the Louvre guard their secrets for themselves, so you need a guide to give you the context and history of the society that inspired them to reveal something of their mystery. I’m an Irish artist & specialist decorator. I’m also now, for the past 10 years, a Paris Museum Guide.

Louvre Museum
The Louvre was once a Fortress, a Palace and was even squatted by artists at one time, now it's one of the world's greatest museums. As a professional guide my mission is to offer people insights into how to look at art, to learn how to appreciate it. As an artist, I know the craft of making art, how to draw & paint. With this knowledge I can bring an artwork to life, expand on its historical context, explain its uniqueness, sharing my knowledge on how to appreciate the style & techniques of an artist. Talking about art with humour and insight is what you get. I think I know how to transmit this passion for art to other people.

The tour reservation is NOT a museum ticket. A MUSEUM TICKET can be obtained at the louvre.fr website. (22€) All children under 18 get in free with ID. EU students under 25 also get in for free. Please contact me on WhatsApp I can confirm my availability if it's less that 24 hours before the scheduled start time. We meet by the sculpture of the Louis XIV near the Pyramid outside the museum. I will have a Guide Badge.
