Explore Iceland's iconic Golden Circle and end your day chasing the elusive Northern Lights.
— What You Can Expect —
Embarking on this winter journey, you'll get a two-fold Icelandic experience: the iconic Golden Circle Tour by day, and a Northern Lights chase by night. Start your day with the famous Golden Circle Tour, taking in Iceland's three natural wonders: Þingvellir National Park, Geysir Hot Springs, and Gullfoss Falls.
At Þingvellir National Park, you’ll discover the gap where the American and Eurasian tectonic plates are pulling apart. Watch the famous Strokkur geyser at Geysir Hot Springs as it spouts water and a cloud of steam up to 30 m into the air. Lastly, soak in the beauty of the Gullfoss Falls, watching the glacial river plunge deep into a gorge.
As the sun sets, the night presents an entirely new adventure: the quest for the Northern Lights. It's a game of patience and luck, as the display's appearance hinges on the day's weather and visibility conditions. Given the winter chill and the amount of time you'll spend outdoors, warm clothing is a must.
*Note: Once the Golden Circle Tour concludes, you'll head back to Reykjavík. There, you’ll enjoy a 3-6 hour break, giving you ample time to explore the city before the Northern Lights expedition. Remember, the gap between the tours is contingent on your morning departure time.
Scheduled departures for the Golden Circle portion of the tour are at 08:00, 10:00, or 12:00 daily from August 15th - April 25th. The Northern Lights Tour start times are:
