From the Davis-Horton House, to the Horton Grand Hotel, to the Balboa Theatre, you'll marvel at the unique structures while learning about the fascinating cast of characters who shaped San Diego into the city it is today.

Originally known as Rabbitville for its use as a great rabbit habitat, eventually the area became known as Old Town, then the Gaslamp Quarter, named for the eponymous street lights. This sign came much later than the buildings here, completed in 1990.
Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton HousePass-by Only
Recognized as the oldest home in the Gaslamp, the materials for this saltbox style home were shipped from Maine, as lumber was scarce in the area. It would later become the County Hospital.
Today, the property is actually a combination of two separate hotels. In the 19th century, however, it became the home of the famed Wyatt Earp.
