The ability to sail away from civilisation and be truly alone. You will not be able to hear or see anyone else, removing the constant distractions from our lives. You can see the rugged landscape from a unique perspective. When you are in the midst of the sea, you can feel the tremendous power of the wind and waves and there is an overwhelming sensation of just how small and insignificant we actually are. There is a spiritual connection to nature and anything seems possible. Who knew we had so many dolphins within a few miles of our coastline? Small moments of tension or panic are soon forgotten as you rise to the occasion and find yourself docking a sailboat like a pro. These are experiences which get shared and stories are re-told many times.

What's included in Sailing In The Wake Of Giants
(Subject to Option Inclusions)We'll build up our energy with some home-made wheaten bread and scones. Share a feeling of trepidation and excitement as we set sail to start our own adventure. Before long, we'll be setting fenders, hoisting sails, taking the helm, reading bearings and taking transits. Or we could just set the auto-pilot and sip lattes while the yacht cruises across the sea. Ancient stories come to life as we pass the rugged coastline, carved out by feuding giants. Sustainable energy seems possible when we realise that sailboats have been crossing oceans for generations.

You can choose to be picked up from a list of locations, or alternatively, have the choice to make your own way to the meeting points
Please arrive at the pick up point 30 minutes before departure time.

We can collect 8 passengers plus luggage.

- Meet at the flowerbeds with sailboat in the middle, just outside Carrickfergus marina, across the road from Sainsbury. We will be wearing turquoise tops.
