After the cooking demonstration, you will enjoy your meal together in your host's Taiwanese home.

What's included in Private Taiwanese Cooking Demonstration of Family Recipes in Taipei
(Subject to Option Inclusions)This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. Catherine lives in a modest, cozy apartment in a residential Taiwanese suburban neighborhood. She has a huge repertoire of traditional Taiwanese dishes, and she takes the trouble to select the dishes to cook based on what’s fresh in the market that day and her guests' food preferences. After a warm welcome into her apartment, Catherine will take you to her kitchen to being your cooking demonstration. As is typical in most Taipei homes, Catherine’s kitchen is very small, so she will be doing most of the cooking but you will help her whenever possible. Due to space constraints, this will be more of a cooking demonstration. Catherine will introduce you to the dishes that you be eating and during this one-hour demonstration, you will watch as she prepares 2-3 authentic Taiwanese dishes from scratch. Catherine will walk you through the entire cooking process giving you very clear instructions, and sharing many useful tips along the way. You will then enjoy your meal with Catherine at her dining table.

The nearest Metro station is Wende station (Exit 2) on the brown-colored Wenhu Line. Catherine’s home is about 550m from the station, about an 8-minute walk. The Wenhu Line runs from Muzha to Neihu districts, cutting through downtown Taipei, intersecting with the red-colored Tamsui-Xinyi Line, green-colored Songshan-Xindian Line, and blue-colored Bannan Line. There is a bus stop along the main road, a 2-minute walk to Catherine’s home serviced by several bus numbers: 214, 222, 278, 286, 287, 552, 620. Cab and Uber drivers are also familiar with the neighborhood and you will be able to arrive at the destination easily.
