What's included in Private Hiking Tour In The Vicinity Of Belgrade
(Subject to Option Inclusions)Your guide will pick you up in the morning from your hotel or other place of stay in Belgrade and after an hour drive you'll reach Kosmaj Mountain. Kosmaj is located in the Sumadija area which is well known for its hills and mountains, with thick forests and breathtaking views. Before the hike there is an option to visit medieval monastery Tresije dating from the XIV century. Kosmaj hike is not demanding and it's a perfect getaway from urban life to spend a fulfilling day in nature. First portion of the trail goes through thick forest and this part is the most steep on the whole route, but still quite easy. At the end of this section you'll reach a monumental memorial to partisans who died in WWII. After a short break your guide will take you further to the one of the highest points of Kosmaj Mountain, where an observation deck is conveniently set and you can enjoy spectacular views. Now the trail will take you through the forest to the remains of what once was Kastaljan Monastery from the XIV century. Further the trail goes through a local village, and you’ll see how authentic village looks like. It’ll take an hour to reach our lunch destination, a local kafana (tavern).
