The local guide picks you up from your hotel located in the city center of Xi’an and heads to the first stop – the world wonder of the Qin Terracotta Warriors, for about 1.5 hours. The exquisite carriages of soldiers and horses in combat formation are a jewel of the country's ancient art. Three excavated pits are now open to the public and the fourth is nearing completion. The terracotta warriors and horses were listed as a UNESCO world cultural heritage in 1987.
Lunch is organized in a well decorated restaurant on the way back to the city center. In the afternoon, we will visit the Ancient City Wall, which represents one of the oldest and best preserved city walls in China, as well as one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world.
Then he goes to the Muslim street, a fantastic place in Xi'an. Almost all the shops and restaurants here are run by Muslims. You'll find stalls on both sides of narrow alleyways selling just about anything you can imagine. Here are a variety of delicious and cheap Muslim food and snacks, including the locals' favorite roast beef, grilled fish and pancakes.
