Hiking around the suburbs of Kathmandu valley is ideal for those who do not have long time for trekking yet the passion to watch the Himalayan view by walking. There is more than just one route to follow to complete loop but the mostly picked route is Sundarijal-Chisapani-Nagarkot-Chagunarayan. A bus or car takes you to Sundarijal, a beautiful hamlet located at the end of northern valley. As you start, you will be well challenged by the uphill steps which continue all the way up to BorlangBhajyang via Mulkharka.This is somehow breathtaking uphill of 900 meters ascend. After walking another couple of hours, you will reach Chisapani located on top of the ridge at the end of Shivapuri National Park where there are plenty of lodges to accommodate and dinning. Himalayas are located far from this place but on clear day the ranges from Gaurishankar to Manasalu can be observed from the same spot.
