Explore the birding capital of Ecuador. Mindo is a long established "Mecca" for birdwatchers and photographers. A nice day to spot hummingbirds, Tanagers, Toucans, Trogons, Quetzals, Cukoos, Flightcatchers, Woodcreepers, Woodpeckers, Warblers, Tyrannulets, Hawks, Eagles, Falcons, among others. There are many species that can be observed since Mindo is part of the subtropical rainforest of the Andean Choco. And the forest that shelters it has had an adequate forest management preserving the trees and plants of the area allowing this ecosystem to be considered one of the best hot spot of flora and fauna.
