Join us for a leisurely stroll through Savannah's Historic District as we go by locations featured in the book. Here the real stories and see the real photos of these characters from the book that helped put Savannah's tourism on the map. In addition to the locations listed, we also stop by the home where John Berendt lived when he first arrived in Savannah, along with Joe Odom's House, the home of Helen Drexel (Serena Dawes in the book and the film), as well as a few other locations.

Armstrong House
We stop outside here to discuss Jim Williams, Sony Seiler, as well as Wiliam Simon Glover and Patrick, the dog. Sonny was Jim's lawyer during the second, third, and fourth trials.
We stop outside here to discuss the story of Luther Driggers (Maurice Elmore Fetzer, Jr.) and how he relates to the book. He would eat breakfast here every morning.
Mercer Williams House Museum
We stop outside here to discuss Jim Williams and his contributions to Savannah. We discuss the events that led up to the murder of Danny Hansford. We do not enter the Mercer House, however they do have their own tour inside the home.

Meeting Points
- We will meet at the Sgt. William Jasper monument, which is located in the middle of Madison Square. Madison Square is at the intersection of Bull St. and Harris Street. Please arrive at least 5-10 minutes early to check in with your tour guide.
End Points
- This tour will end in front of the Mercer House, which is located in Monterey Square.
