— What You Can Expect —
Come visit the unique elephant sanctuary and learn about the conservation work of the elephant population. Discover more about Thailand's domesticated elephants and how to interact with them. You will have the opportunity to feed the elephants and learn how to prepare their supplementary nourishment. Participate in elephant mud baths and have a pool bath with an elephant. After the journey, you also get to taste a large assortment of seasonal fruit.
— Itinerary —
- 9:00 am/2:00 pm: Pick up from your accommodation (Ao Nang area) by minivan
- Drive approximately 30 minutes from your accommodation to our sanctuary
- Arrive at Aonang Sanctuary and meet with our tour guide who will provide you with an introduction to Aonang Elephant Sanctuary
- Meet our elephants from another side of the barrier. (10 mins)
- Cook protein ball and feed the elephants under experienced mahout’s supervision (20 mins)
- Walk to the mud pool and see the elephant’s routine as they will be playing in the mud pool by themselves with the view surrounded by mountains and forest view at our sanctuary
- Walk to the manmade pool where the elephants like to go for bathing. You will walk together with our tour guide and if you're lucky, you might even see them splash with their trunks
- Take photos group with Aonang Elephant Sanctuary’s sign and get some seasonal fruit, coffee or tea then say goodbye to the elephants
- 12:00 pm/5:00 pm: Leave Aonang Elephant Sanctuary to your accommodation safely
