At Nihonbashi mutoh, you can experience the art of Kintsugi, the traditional Japanese technique of repairing broken pottery with gold. Nihonbashi
At Nihonbashi Mutoh Main Store, you can experience traditional Japanese arts such as Kintsugi, Maki-e, and Gold Leaf Pasting. In the Kintsugi workshop, learn the technique of repairing broken pottery with gold, using exquisite Arita ware, renowned for its 400-year history. Maki-e offers a chance to create beautiful designs with lacquer and gold or silver powder. Gold Leaf Pasting lets you apply gold leaf from Kanazawa to your choice of tableware or chopsticks. These hands-on experiences allow you to create unique masterpieces and take home a memorable souvenir from Japan.

- Please note that the workshop may be conducted alongside regular customers.
- These 3 experiences are available for participants aged 13 and older.
- You are welcome to bring your own ceramic or porcelain item (up to approx. φ15 cm × H15 cm, with 1–2 broken parts) for the kintsugi experience.
- Please note that no refunds will be issued if you do not participate in the experience on the scheduled day.
- If you arrive late, the experience will still end at the originally scheduled time.
