Ticket Vending Machines (Self-service):
- Use the green ticket vending machines with passport icons at stations to operate and collect tickets

- eMCO Redemption Important Notice - If a ticket machine is unavailable or if you don't have an e-passport, proceed to the designated stations and obtain your pass from the green ticket booth
JR West Ticket Office (Manual):
- To exchange your e-voucher for a physical ticket, present it along with your passport at the JR Ticket Office (known as Midori-no-madoguchi or the Green Window)
- Using the ticket machine does not require name and passport verification. However, if you exchange your e-voucher at the counter, the staff will cross-check the name on the voucher with your passport
- The ticket machines cater exclusively to travelers with an e-passport. If you're without one, or if it isn't recognized by the machine, please proceed to the ticket office for a hands-on exchange
Collecting Reserved Seat Tickets:
- Redeem your ticket at either the green ticket booth or machine before use

- If you've exhausted your reserved seat quota or haven't collected the reserved seat ticket, you can still utilize the pass for non-reserved seating
*Note: For eMCO purchases made before 30 September 2023, unlimited reserved seating is available if the pass is redeemed and set for use after 1 October 2023.

- JR tickets operate under a registered system, with a very complicated booking process. Therefore, please ensure that you have provided the required information in order to make a purchase. Please bear in mind that Over The Planet is not liable for any delays due to insufficient or incorrect information provided by travelers
- Children require a child pass if occupying a seat in a reserved-seat carriage or traveling alone
- Luggage Restrictions: Passengers may bring up to two pieces of luggage, not including carry-ons and smaller bags, each piece may not weigh more than 30 kg and its length, width and depth may not add up to more than 250 cm, while its length may not exceed 200 cm
- [Refund Policy] For any “eMCO redeemable vouchers” that have not been exchanged into an “Official Pass” you can apply for a refund within 11 months from the purchased date. However, a 10% cancellation fee will be charged. Please ensure that you keep your vouchers safe as we cannot issue new passes or process refunds if passes are lost, stolen or partially used

- Children who requires a reserved seat in an ordinary car and individual children are required to purchase a child pass
- JR tickets operate under a registration system, with a very complicated booking process. Therefore, please make sure to provide the correct required info when booking, failure to do so may result in ticket issuance delay, travelers will be held liable and surcharges will apply to booking changes
- JR PASS eMCO e-Ticket Pick-Up: in addition to the standard JR green ticket counters, JR green ticket machines marked with "5489" in west Japan are also available for ticket pick-up, please visit the official website for details
- Ticket exchange service at the ticket machine is only available for travelers with an e-passport. Travelers without an e-passport need to approach the ticket counter for ticket exchange
