The biggest attraction is that you can make IKEBANA works using rare antique vessels. You'll discover traditional Japanese culture and learn techniques that can easily be repeated at home. You can watch IKEBANA performance taking place in a Japandi-style alcove. You'll get a hands-on training from a licensed instructor. You can learn “moribana”and“nageire” techniques. We'll work together to create a total of 5 to 6 ikebana works. You can go up to the roof and see the Daimoji and view of Kyoto. You can also learn how to make petit bouquet too. You can deeply learn the sense of the seasons and the spirit of hospitality that we Japanese cherish.

In Japan, when welcoming guests, it is customary to arrange the facilities to reflect the seasons and enjoy the seasons with the guests. Through our experience, you will learn the tips for coordinating, how to make IKEBANA work, also the spirit of Japanese hospitality. First, please watch IKEBANA performance in the modern Japan-di style alcove, I would be talking about the flowers that put up that day, and how to put flowers in a vase. Then you would make IKEBANA works together. We would create 5 to 6 IKEBANA works together, and after we finish making IKEBANA works, we would decorate on display, in a modern alcove, and on each table together. After coordinating the ikebana works, let's move to the rooftop and take a commemorative photo with the left and right Daimoji. Finally, we would make the petit bouquet together that you can take it. The members who have obtained the certified teacher would teach in English with all their heart. We hope every experience becomes a good memory of the trip. Please arrive at the pick up point 5 minutes before departure time.

Additional Information

When you arrive at the Kamigoryō Shrine, please look for a building with a bench. There are large and old paintings on the ceiling of the building. That is Ema-dokoro, the meeting place. The most convenient route to Kamigoryō Shrine is Exit 1 of Kuramaguchi Subway Station. If you are planning to meet here, let's first pray together! Then we will move and start Ikebana Private experience. If you are unable to arrive at the meeting point at the start time, there will be a grace period of 30 minutes. However, the experience will be slightly different. We will try not to change the content that you can actually experience, but we will shorten the IKEBANA performance that we show as a model, or we might not have time to do a rooftop shoot or create a bouquet In any case, I would appreciate it if you could arrive on time.

Meeting / End Points

  • Activities would be held on the first floor of a four-story cream-colored building. At the entrance of the building, there is a purple line with our atelier name, and black bamboo and green bamboo are planted on the facade, also there is a washbasin.So please use that as a landmark.
