Transportation not Available: Guests must have Rental Car – No Taxi or Ubers. After an interpretive hike through natural trails lined with beautiful flora and fauna, some river wading and small climbs, you will arrive at a hidden gem found in the heart of the rainforest. This breathtaking segment of the 29,000-acre forest is like a natural playground. Here you will have the chance to swim in the natural pools, refresh in waterfalls, slide down an exhilarating natural waterslide, rope swing into the river, jump from different rock formations and enjoy fresh local fruit with a view. Along with all of this excitement, you will also have time to simply relax to the sounds of cascading waters and take in the beauty of this very special place.
You will make your own way to the meeting points
GUESTS MUST HAVE A RENTAL CAR (NO TAXI OR UBER!). Meet at "Frutera Flores" fruit stand in Luquillo. You cannot taxi or Uber to the departure location. Please allow sufficient time driving from San Juan (approx. 1 hr and 15 mins). Parking and rainforest entrance fees are included in the rate. Saturday's tour is longer (approximately 1 hour) and more strenuous than Sunday - Friday. It's very important that you are able to comply with all of the tour restrictions, have a strong physical fitness level and are able to bring your knees up to your chest. What to Wear & Bring: You will get completely submerged in water and most likely muddy while on this tour. -Comfortable hiking clothes and/or bathing suit -Closed-toed shoes with good grip for hiking on wet surfaces, and that provide support (no crocs, sandals, water shoes or flip flops) -Towel, change of clothes and dry shoes for after the tour -Water bottle -Cash (gratuities not included but appreciated) -Cell phone on file (in the event that we need to contact you or you need to contact us prior to the excursion)
