Owino Market, officially known as St. Balikuddembe Market, is one of the largest and most vibrant markets in Uganda. Located in downtown Kampala, it offers a wide range of products, including: Local commodities: fruits, vegetables, grains, and other fresh produce. Secondhand clothing: often called "mivumba" in Uganda, including shoes, bags, and accessories. Cooked and uncooked food: fresh meats, spices, as well as street food stalls where local dishes are prepared. Herbal medicines: traditional herbal remedies and locally sourced medicinal plants. The market is a hub of activity and a major economic center, attracting both locals and visitors looking for affordable goods.
