Located in Sarnath, near Varanasi, the Dhamek Stupa marks the spot where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment, setting in motion the “Wheel of Dharma.” Built in 500 CE and later enlarged, the massive cylindrical structure stands 43.6 meters high and is adorned with intricate carvings, symbolizing the timeless legacy of Buddhism.
Mulagandha Kuti Vihar
A modern Buddhist temple built by the Maha Bodhi Society in the 1930s, Mulagandha Kuti Vihara is renowned for its serene atmosphere and stunning frescoes depicting the life of Lord Buddha. Surrounded by a peaceful garden and housing sacred relics, it offers visitors a tranquil space for reflection and prayer
