On our tour you can enjoy the noble plants of the region in selected beautiful places in the lively city center and/or with a view of Lake Constance. Along the way, you will hear facts and anecdotes about Lake Constance wine.
Here on Lake Constance, the vines grow predominantly on ice age weathering soils - there is nowhere else in Germany! The terroir offers ideal conditions to produce fine wines. The mild climate, Lake Constance as a heat store, the reflection of the sun’s rays on the heat-loving vineyards and, last but not least, the warm blow-dry winds from the Mediterranean ensure that excellent, award-winning wines grow on Lake Constance at an altitude of sometimes more than 500 m above sea level.
The Zeppelin Museum is located directly on the shores of Lake Constance. Overlooking the lake and across to Switzerland and the mountains of the Alps, enjoy a refreshing glass of Prosecco from Lake Constance as a welcome drink.
In former times, a railway track led from the station directly to the lake. At that time, the historic harbour crane was used to load the goods from the ship onto the train carriage – or vice versa. Enjoy a wonderful view of Lake Constance and taste a delicious Lake Constance wine and learn all kinds of things about regional wine culture.
On top of the steel pier tower, you have a fascinating view of Lake Constance, the opposite Swiss shore and the city of Friedrichshafen from a height of 22 metres. This is accompanied by a good glass of regionally produced wine.
