Depart from the centre of Bordeaux by van to discover the wines and history of Saint-Émilion. Your guide will bring the story of this UNESCO World Heritage Site to life with a tour of the village, revealing the secrets of this medieval town and the birthplace of Bordeaux viticulture.
At midday, visit a local wine estate and sample 3 wines. Enjoy a picnic lunch featuring locally sourced produce in jars, alongside Basque charcuterie and cheeses, accompanied by a glass of wine.
Next, visit a second estate for a tasting of 2 wines. Learn about the appellation's unique characteristics, including grape varieties and winemaking techniques. The day will conclude at a third estate with a final tasting of 3 wines.
This small-group tour provides an ideal setting in which to learn about the art of winemaking and tasting, and there will be plenty of opportunities to ask your knowledgeable guide questions.
