The tour is a 75-minute guided tour of the Laura Plantation main house, gardens and slave quarters. Located on the West bank of the Mississippi in the heart of Plantation Country. The main house dates from 1805 and has been restored to the time when it functioned as both a family home and the office for the sugar plantation. Continue the tour on the grounds with 12 buildings on the National Register.

After your plantation tour we will head down to Westwego Louisiana where you have a chance to enjoy a sit down lunch (AT OWN EXPENSE).

After lunch we will take you across the Cajun Swamp where you take a 90 minutes cover pontoon low-speed boat ride. The Captains will navigate their way through the swamp. You will learn about Louisiana Wetlands, the inhabitants of the swamp, the life and habits of the American Alligators.
