This tour is not recommended for people with mobility issues. If you have difficulty walking, we recommend booking a private tour.
Participants must be at least 15 years old to join the tour. Small children and babies are not allowed, even if accompanied by parents. If you wish to bring your children aged 14 or younger, please book a private tour.
Please inform us at least 1 day before the tour if you have any dietary requests or allergies to mention.※ Requests made on the tour day cannot be accommodated. Please kindly understand that we are unable to guarantee allergy-free meals, accommodation of dietary restrictions or the substitutions, as the food is prepared in kitchens that do not belong to us.
Japan's climate has become more extreme, with summer highs of 40°C (110°F) and winter lows of -5°C (20°F). Please prepare accordingly (water, hat, sunglasses etc.).
The tour might be cancelled in case of unsuitable weather for safety reasons.
Out of respect for other guests and to ensure the best tour for everyone, we must start the tour on time. You will not be able to join the tour, get refund or rescheduled if you are late for the tour and missed the group.
Free cancellation or rescheduling is available up to 7 days before the tour starts.

In the birthplace of maiko, Gion, stroll through the traditional streets of Kyoto while learning about the maiko culture from a local guide. After gathering at Gion Shijo Station, the tour will involve walking through the beautiful traditional machiya architecture and streets of Gion, the birthplace of maiko. A local guide will provide explanations about the origins and history of maiko while exploring the area. The guide will offer insights into the secrets and charms of maiko that even first-time Japanese visitors might not experience without guidance.
