Our tour takes us through the picturesque Troodos Mountains, known for lush forests and fresh air. At the foot lies Omodos, a charming village with cobbled streets and the Timios Stavros Monastery, home to a relic of the Holy Cross. We will visit Pedoulas and Prodromos villages before heading to the famous Kykkos Monastery, founded in the 11th century. One of the richest monasteries in Cyprus, it houses the revered Virgin Mary icon, said to be painted by St. Luke. The monastery offers breathtaking views of the countryside. Nearby, we will visit the Tomb of Archbishop Makarios on Mount Throni (1,318m). His final resting place offers stunning views of Cyprus and is a key pilgrimage site. Our next stop will be at a local winery to taste Commandaria, Zivania, and other local wines.
