Hindagala is a typical cave temple from the Kandyan period. But there is something special about it. This is one of the very few places with original Anuradhapura-period temples.
The Embekka Devalaya is famous for the island's most excellent wood carvings from the Kandy period.
This is Sri Lanka's most beautiful temple from the Gampola period, the impressive shrine room is decorated with murals from the Kandy period.
